Being a huge fan of Stargate I figured I would probably enjoy this series no matter what, and I wasn't wrong. It is definitely different to the other two series in the franchise however it still fits in well to the mythology of the series. The cameos from SG-1 cast members helps with the transition to the new series and as it goes along the series just gets better and better. Can't wait for the entire first season to be released, hopefully on BluRay.

For those who watched the first 3 episodes on Prime, these make up the Pilot. I have to say the extended DVD answers a few question marks I was left with after viewing the TV version. For Stargate fans I would recommend this DVD as it makes excellent viewing.

“where the hell are we?” “several billion light years from home” And that is just the start of their problems. More drama-sci-fi than sci-fi-drama, this series starts off fast. Be interesting to see where it goes from here.
