Takom: 1/350 Don-2N Pill Box Ballistic Missile Defense Radar w/A-235 Anti-Ballistic Missile System – Model Kit
The DON-2N is an early warning radar for ballistic missile defense developed in the former Soviet Union near Moscow, Russia, and its NATO code name is Pillbox. Research began in 1963 by the Moscow Institute of Radio Engineering of the Soviet Academy of Sciences; this facility is shaped like the top half of a square pyramid with a phased array antenna installed on each side.
The A-235 is an anti-ballistic missile system under development by Russia, and its NATO code name is PL-19 Nudol. The A-235 consists of mobile interceptor missiles that can also carry nuclear warheads; the low-altitude interceptor PRS-1M/45T6, the medium-altitude interceptor 58R6, and the high-altitude interceptor 51T6. It is said that there are is an additional type: 14Ts033, an ultra-high altitude interceptor capable of destroying satellites in low orbit.
