Description

The Want Ad Murders, adults (15+, please). Thirty-something, newspaper reporter, Rob Young, stumbles onto a series of coded want ads that eventually land him in the midst of a serial killer's deranged plan to kill off folks who had wronged him as a boy. He decodes the secret messages, but still has no idea who the bad actor might be. Supporting characters include Becca, his lady friend, Sarge, his police contact, Eddy, his editor, Madge, the owner of the diner where Rob makes his center of operations, and Andy, the loveable, eleven-year-old genius who is intertwined in the lives of the others and offers insightful and humorous takes on life and the state of the world. In the end, Rob and the boy have it out with the vicious killer atop a high cliff, above rocks and a deep, cold, gravel pit lake a hundred feet below. The not so subtle romance between Rob and Becca winds its way through the story (strictly R).
