Description

Sue Tredget began writing several years ago when she took a year off to replenish her spirit after experiencing some troubled times. This collection of poems was written as a companion book to her very personal memoir, Changing Lightbulbs: a journey through anxiety and depression . While Sue's poems were born out of grief, loss and despair, they were written with love, joy and hope, hence the title, Transformation. In writing both prose and poetry Sue discovered the healing power of words and was able to give creative expression to her emotions. Sue is also a language teacher and the author of the children's picture book series, My Colour Collection . She grew up in Northern Ireland and now lives in Perth, Western Australia.

Author Biography:

Sue Tredget grew up in Northern Ireland and now lives in Western Australia. She began writing during a year off from her job as a language teacher in 2014, after which she returned to teaching on a more flexible basis so that she could continue writing and pursue her other interests. These include travel, particularly to France, Italy and Spain, and working as a volunteer Speaker/Ambassador for the not-for-profit organisation beyondblue to raise awareness about mental health, increase community understanding and help break down stigma. Sue is also the author of Changing Lightbulbs, a non-fiction book about her experiences and the children's picture book series, My Colour Collection. She enjoys writing reflective articles which she posts on her website www.suetredget.com, drawing inspiration from the beauty of the natural world, her daily observations of the little things in life, and her travels.
