Africa is a beautiful collection of some of the best songs to not only come from the continent, but also songs that were directly inspired by African music. Artists such as Dead Can Dance and the Johannesburg African Choir lend their enormous talents and name value to a collection that reflects the many sides of the genre. The compositions by David Poore (there are nine overall) are the highlights of the album, with a beautiful African choir supplying the wonderful harmonies. Although this music may be an acquired taste, this is an excellent album that reflects a small portion of what the continent's music scene has to offer. Bradley Torreano – Allmusic.com
