Author Biography:

Richard L Stein's last position with public education was to create and oversee the curriculum of K-12 education in a small city school He gained much insight into the needs, interests, methods of content delivery and skills for student learning. One of his insights was that students learn better in a pleasant environment and with material that they are at once challenged by and willing to accept. His writings and school visits have addressed the rudiments relevant to mastering the skills of reading and writing. With the accompaniment of a highly skilled illustrator, he has managed to simplify, without diluting the competence necessary to achieve school and life goals.
